Royal Mail Christmas Delivery Dates

If you are intending to use the traditional Royal Mail service for your Christmas deliveries, please note their last dates for posting to ensure that you have plenty of time:

Monday 18th December: Last date for Royal Mail Second Class or Second Class signed for deliveries.

Tuesday 19th December: Last date for Royal Mail First Class or First Class signed for deliveries.

Wednesday 20th December: Last posting date for Royal Mail Tracked 48 (not available at post office branches).

Thursday 21st December: Last posting date for Royal Mail Tracked 24 (not available at post office branches).

Friday 22nd December: Last date to post items via Royal Mail Special Guaranteed Delivery, although Saturday guaranteed deliveries may incur additional charges.

Alternative Posting Methods

Ofcom recently opened an investigation into Royal Mail’s failure to meet its delivery targets during 2022-2023. But although Royal Mail delivery dates are set in stone and sometimes problematic, there are now many great cost-effective alternative postage services.

For missed postal deadlines and greater peace of mind, there are fast, efficient, and guaranteed alternatives to Royal Mail, such as utilising the services of a same day courier Birmingham.

Parcels can be small or large and vans are fully tracked so that you know the exact location of your package. A same day courier Birmingham is available via phone service 24 hours a day and proof of receipt is emailed to you so that you have direct confirmation of when your intended recipient receives their special gift.

With our lives being particularly hectic as the Christmas season looms, there is no need to worry about deadlines and gifting when there are great alternatives to the traditional Royal Mail service that can be easily accessed by all.
